.The Create Device dialog appears.
- Enter the appropriate device type in the Device type text field. After entering one or more characters of a device type name, a list of all device types will be displayed which contain the relevant characters or the relevant character sequence. Select the suitable device type from the list.
Enter an asterisk (*) or question mark (?) to display the complete list of all device types or to use the character as a wildcard.
- A unique device identifier can be entered in the Technical ID text field.
- In the Name text field, enter the name.
- In the Description text field you can enter a description of the device.
- If properties have been created for the device type, they will be assigned to the new device and Properties will be displayed here. The values of the properties can be changed. The edited values only apply to the newly created device.
