Introduction to the Nexeed Master Data Management Module

The module Nexeed Master Data Management is a system in which all central data used by multiple modules of the Nexeed Industrial Application System is compiled and managed. Master data is data that belongs to the production structure (topology), data about equipment (lines, stations, devices, etc.), error messages, processes, process groups and material definitions.

Main Function

• Central provision of data for Nexeed IAS modules
• Creation of devices and device types
• Definition of measuring points and error definitions for devices and device types
• Detailed illustration of the production structure
• Definition of processes and process groups
• Definition of material definitions

Roles and permissions

All modules of the Nexeed Industrial Application System are based on permissions. Depending on the permissions, different functions are available in a module.
To enable functions, the user is assigned a role based on the desired permission. Permissions are managed in the Nexeed Multitenant Access Control module.

The standard configuration of the module includes the following roles:  

• User
• Experts
• Administrator
