Edit Device for a Device Type

1. In the Device types tab, click a device type.

   The device type is selected.

2. In the working area, click Devices.

   The list of existing devices appears in the right-hand pane.

3. Under Name, click in the row of the device to be edited.

   The Edit device dialog appears.

   

4. Enter details:
   • The appropriate device type can be edited in the Device type text field. Change the appropriate device type for the device from the list displayed.
   • In the Name text field, edit the name of the device.
   • In the Description text field, the description of the device can be edited.
   • In the Technical ID text field, the unique designation of the device can be edited.
   • The Device type text field displays information on the assignment of the device. This cannot be changed.
   • If properties have been created for the device type, they will be assigned to the device and displayed in the Properties section. The values of the properties can be changed. The edited values apply only to this device.
5. Click Save.

The editing of the device is saved.
