Edit Measuring Point of a Device Type

1. In the Device types tab, click a device type.

   The device type is selected.

2. Click Measuring points.

   The list of measuring points appears in the right-hand pane.

3. Click in the line with the measuring point that you want to edit.

   The Edit measuring point dialog appears.

   

4. Enter details:
   • In the Name text field, enter the name of the measuring point to be created.
   • In the Unit text field, you can specify the physical unit of the measuring point.
   • In the View options text field, you can specify the display format.
   • In the Data type drop-down list, you can specify the data type of the measuring point:

     Byte

     Integer

     Long

     Float

     Double

     Yes/No

     String

   • In the Category drop-down list, you can select the category of the measuring point:

     Measurement

     Process value (identified measuring point within a measurement/measurement series)

     Process curve

5. Click Save.

The measuring point of the device type is saved.
