Introduction to the Nexeed Information Router module

The module Nexeed Information Router is a service that allows machines to communicate with the Nexeed IAS portal. A machine can be a device, a control system or a PLC (programmable logic controller). A machine sends messages to a single endpoint provided by the Nexeed Information Router service. The Nexeed Information Router service then forwards the received message to the configured Nexeed IAS module.

To successfully forward the message, the Nexeed Information Router service authenticates the machine to the Nexeed Multitenant Access Control module (device authentication). The Nexeed Information Router service also authenticates itself to the Nexeed Multitenant Access Control module (service authentication).
