Import Equipment

Plants, products, areas, lines, station indices, own function units, tool positions and work positions can be imported. The topology is structured according to the imported information.

1. In the menu, click Master data management > Equipment.
2. Click on the Topology tab.
3. In the toolbar, click .

   The Import equipment dialog appears.

4. Click Browse and select the XML file to be imported into the file system.

   Only one file may be selected.

   The selected file is displayed next to Browse.

5. To monitor progress during the import, click Details.

   During the import, the number of data points read and written is displayed under Details.

6. Click Import equipment to start the process, or click Close to cancel the process.

   When the import is complete, the file name next to Browse is replaced by the text No file selected.

7. To import additional equipment, repeat steps 4 to 6.
8. Click Close to finish the import.

The equipment has been imported.
