Import Types
Prerequisites
Procedure
- Click
CSV import.The Upload file dialog of the operating system opens.
- Select the CSV file to be imported in the file system.
Only one file may be selected.
- Click Open.
The CSV file is imported (uploaded).
The CSV import dialog opens and informs you about the result.
The types defined in the CSV file (type numbers and, if applicable, variants) have been imported.
CSV file format
<TypeNo>[;<TypeVariant>]
Whereby the following applies:
- <TypeNo>
- Type Number
- alphanumeric
- up to 80 characters
- leading and trailing spaces are ignored
- must not contain a semi-colon (as a separator)
- <TypeVariant> (optional)
- Type Variant
- alphanumeric
- up to 80 characters
- leading and trailing spaces are ignored
- must not contain a semi-colon (as a separator)
Restrictions
- All types of a CSV file are added to the selected type group. This means that they receive the same target cycle time and target values
- Type number/variant combination must be globally unique, i.e. within the CSV file and within all existing type groups
- Placeholders are supported for both the type number and the type variant:
- % symbol for any number, including null characters
