Introduction to the Nexeed Setup Specs module

The module Nexeed Setup Specs is a web-based application for managing product-related production and process specifications required within the manufacturing process chain.

Specifications represent different types of information that define how a particular product is manufactured or handled and that are required in the individual work steps of employees, production/assembly machines, or third-party applications.

Production specifications contain parameters required to set up a production system, such as axis positions, clamping forces, assembly/tool types or additional descriptions in text form.

Process specifications are generally those process parameters that explicitly describe a process or process sequence. These can be simple one-dimensional process parameters, but also multidimensional process curves or parameter structures from individual value pairs of different formats, which can be repeated as often as required.

Main Function

Roles and permissions

All modules of the Nexeed Industrial Application System are based on permissions. Depending on the permissions, different functions are available in a module.
To enable functions, the user is assigned a role based on the desired permission. Permissions are managed in the Nexeed Multitenant Access Control module.

The standard configuration of the module includes the following roles:

Dataset Editor

Configurator User
