Add line

1. Under Shopfloor management > Global production overview, click in the top right.
2. Call up the Lines tab.
3. Click .
4. In the Line configuration area, adjust the following entries:
   • Name
     Enter the name of the line.
   • Plant
     Select the plant of the line from the drop-down list.
   • Business unit
     Select a business unit from the drop-down list.
   • Product
     Select the product produced on the line from the drop-down list.
   • Line ID (replication source)
     Enter the line ID of the replication source.
   • Line ID (within GPO)
     Enter the line ID used in the Nexeed Global Production Overview module.
   • Third-party data source
     Activate the checkbox if the data is loaded by a third party.

     The Line ID (replication source) field and the fields in the Replication configuration area are grayed out.
     
     If you wish to disable data replication for a line, that line can still exist in GPO and does not need to be deleted. To do this, activate the Third-party data source checkbox. Data is then no longer automatically replicated for these lines.

   • Hidden
     Activate the checkbox if the line is to be hidden.

     The line is then no longer visible to the users and is no longer considered in the KPI calculation. Data is still replicated, however.
     If lines have been hidden, is displayed in the Hidden column in the line overview.

5. In the Replication configuration area, adjust the following entries:
   • Replication source (URL)
     Enter the URL of the replication source.
   • Data source: Repl. Service
     Activate the checkbox if the live data is to be queried by a PDA/MDA system.

     The Live data source (URL) field is displayed.

   • Live data source (URL)
     Enter the URL of the live data source.
6. If an external system is used, adjust the following entries in the Advanced settings area:
   • Replication intervention limit
     Enter the intervention limit if it differs from the standard.

     This setting should be implemented by an expert.

   • Max. items per round trip
     Enter the maximum number of aggregated shift data that will be retrieved from the source system when a request is made.

     This setting should be implemented by an expert.

   • External system
     In the selection list, select an external system that has been added to the External systems tab.
7. Click Save.

The line is created and displayed in the Line tab.
