Hardware Settings Menu Item, Balluff tab

The settings for the Balluff barcode reader are called up and changed under Settings > Hardware settings > Balluff.

Specify whether the user password can be reset.

ResetUserName

Specify whether the user name can be reset.

ReconnectRetry

Specifies the interval between two connection attempts (in ms).

Default value: 5000

Commands: [0]: Active

Specify whether to use a list of fixed commands.

Default value: box_checked

Commands: [0]: Name

Enter the name for the list of permanently configured commands.

Default value: Read

Only possible if Commands: [0]: Active is activated.

Commands: [0]: Command

Enter the character string that is sent to the software.

Default value: L0000001210

Only possible if Commands: [0]: Active is activated.

SystemType

Select the type of the connected Balluff barcode reader:

None: No hardware type selected.

To address the Balluff barcode reader with the standard protocol, select None.

BIS_C: Driver for Balluff BIS-C hardware
(RFID LF 70/455 kHz)

BIS_M: Driver for Balluff BIS-M hardware
(RFID HD 13.56 MHz)

BIS_L: Driver for Balluff BIS-L hardware
(RFID 125 kHz)

BIS_Z: Driver for BIS-Z hardware communication modules

BIS_V: Driver for evaluation interface BIS-V
(Mixed operation of LF, HF and UHF possible.)

BIS_U: Driver for Balluff BIS-U hardware
(RFID UHF 860–960 MHz)

Default value: BIS_V

This value is only relevant when communicating via ASCII telegrams. The HAL component automatically determines whether communication is implemented via ASCII telegrams.

UseBCC

Specify whether the BCC checksum is appended to the telegram.

Default value: box_checked

Handshake.

Select a handshake for the Balluff barcode reader:

None: No control element is used for the handshake.

XOnXOff: The XON/XOFF software control protocol is used.

RequestToSend: Request-to-Send (RTS) hardware flow control is used.

RequestToSendXOnXOff: Both the Request-to-Send (RTS) hardware flow control and the XON/XOFF software control protocol are used.

Default value: None

StopBits

Select Stop Bits for data transfer (None, One, Two, OnePointFive) for the Balluff barcode reader.

Default value: One/None

The value selected in Nexeed Rework Control must match the value configured on the hardware side.

DataBits

Enter the data bits for the Balluff barcode reader (4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

Default value: 8

Parity

Select the data transmission parity (None, Odd, Even, Mark, Space) for the Balluff barcode reader.

Default value: None

Baud

Enter the Baud rate for the Balluff barcode reader (9600, 14400, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200, 128000).

Default value: 9600

Port

Enter the COM port for the serial connection.

Default value: Attachment 1

Enter only a number, not a character string.

NetworkAddress

Enter the network address for the TCP version of the Balluff HAL component.

Default value: Blank or network address (TCP)

Abx

Select Abx communication type.

Default value: AUTO

Active

Specify the connection to the Balluff barcode reader.

Default value:

Shared

Specify whether the Balluff barcode reader can also be used by other applications.

Jobs

Specify whether optional workflows are executed cyclically in HAL.

Default value:

MultipleInstancesAllowed

Specify whether multiple instances of Nexeed Rework Control can be opened at the same time.
