Introduction to the Nexeed ID Builder module

The module Nexeed ID Builder is a service for generating unique codes that can be used in production lines to identify components, assemblies and packaging, or to create serial numbers. Nexeed ID Builder serves as a central component for providing codes that are generated according to customer-specific code definitions. Central provision of code generation avoids multiple implementations in other Nexeed Industrial Application System modules. The structure and formation of the codes can be created in the ID Builder configurator of the OSS configurator. For example, date and product information can be inserted into the codes. The active configuration in the Nexeed ID Builder can be used by all Nexeed Industrial Application System modules of the tenant to generate codes.

Further information can be found in the ID Builder configuration manual and in the MES OSS configuration manual.

Roles and permissions

All modules of the Nexeed Industrial Application System are based on permissions. Depending on the permissions, different functions are available in a module.
To enable functions, the user is assigned a role based on the desired permission. Permissions are managed in the Nexeed Multitenant Access Control module.

The standard configuration of the module includes the following roles:
