The module Nexeed Block Management is used to create and manage blocked elements of lines. These elements (part, group, location, material, process and tool) are called block types. Blocks can be applied to different block types. Elements are blocked according to predefined rules based on the trace data of a line. Work cannot continue with the corresponding element until the block is released. The blocks have a severity level that indicates how serious the blocked element is assumed to be.
Main Function
All functions of the Nexeed Block Management module are accessed in the Blocking management > Blocking menu under the following tabs:
Filter by existing or released block (find blocks with the filtered properties)
Create a block for a block type (add a block manually)
Create blocks with the properties of existing blocks (add further block types to an existing block)
Release blocks (release a block type)
Export blocks (document and analyze in external programs)
Filter by released block (find blocks with the filtered properties)
Create blocks with the properties of previously released blocks (restore released blocks)
Export blocks (document and analyze in external programs)
Roles and permissions
All modules of the Nexeed Industrial Application System are based on permissions. Depending on the permissions, different functions are available in a module.
To enable functions, the user is assigned a role based on the desired permission. Permissions are managed in the Nexeed Multitenant Access Control module.
The standard configuration of the module includes the following roles:
