Configure the release status of the tool or component

Tools or components with the release status Deleted or Scrapped can be restored via the release status. It is only possible to change to the In preparation release status from the Deleted or Scrapped release status.

Release and health state of the tools and components

Tool control: Tools and Components Tab – General

Prerequisite

• Tool Management Expert or Tool Management Admin role
• A tool or component has been created.
  Creating a Tool or Component and Importing Tools or Components

Procedure

1. Call up the Tool management > Tool control > Tools & components tab.
2. Select a tool or component.
3. In the detailed view, call up the General tab:
4. Select next to the Release status.

   

   The displayed release statuses depend on the user's role.

5. Select release status.

   The reason appears for the release status Manually blocked, Scrapped and Deleted.

6. Select Reason from the drop-down list.

7. Enter Comment.
8. Change the release status of the tool or component with Update.

The release status of the tool or component is configured.
