Deleting a part type

Part types that have been added can be deleted.

Predefined part types cannot be deleted.

Requirements

• At least one part type has been created.
  Creating a new part type
• Administrator role

Procedure

1. Open the Master data > Part types menu.
   Master data: Part types
2. Select the part type to be deleted.

   Predefined part types cannot be deleted.

3. Use to delete the selected part type.
4. Confirm in the dialog window with Yes to permanently delete the part type.

The selected part type is no longer displayed in the list of part types. When creating a product parts list, the part type can no longer be selected.
