Manually increase the counter of a tool or component

Counters can be increased manually to record unrecorded good or bad parts or uses. Individual counters cannot be increased. Uses, good parts or bad parts are increased in all counters, based on the type of counter. If uses are increased, all counters based on uses increase.

Prerequisite

• Tool Management Expert or Tool Management Admin role
• A tool or component has been created.
  Creating a Tool or Component and Importing Tools or Components
• The tool or component has counters assigned by type.

Procedure

1. Call up the Tool management > Tool control > Tools & components tab.
2. Select a tool or component.
3. In the detailed view, open the Counters tab.
4. Select Action.
5. In the drop-down list, select Manually increase counter.

   

6. Enter Uses, Good parts or Bad parts.

   The counters of the attached components are also increased.

7. If only the counters of the selected tool or component are to be increased, activate the Increase counters only for selected tool (without components) checkbox.
8. Enter the Comment.
9. Check the entries and activate the checkbox (Confirmation).
10. Confirm the increase with Save.

The counters are increased by the entered uses, good parts or bad parts.

If the increase exceeds the set warning and blocking limit, the health status of the tool or component changes.
