Tool Usage

Tool Usage is used to find all the main parts that have been processed with one or more tools.

Tool Usage is used for the following evaluations:

In the event of an anomaly in the tool environment, it can be determined which main parts were processed with this tool.
As an overview of identified main parts with the associated header data in the form of a table showing which packaging data the main parts are provided with.
Output identified main parts as a list with the associated header data. The table makes it possible to see at a glance with which packaging data the main parts are provided.

Search Form

Call up the Part Traceability > Tool Usage menu.

Element/icon	Description
Tool ID	Enter Tool Identification Numbers. To edit the entries in an editor, click on .
Enter Facility ID or Process ID	Enter Identification Number of a Facility or Process.
Time Frame	Define the Time Range via the calendar.
	Click to create the evaluation

If more than one entry is found, the evaluation is displayed in the Results area. If there is only one hit, the Part View is opened: Part View tab.

The Results area shows whether or not Master Data Management Connected applies: .

Results List of the Evaluation — General Information

In the header, the General Information view is selected.

To restrict the entries, use the filter option: Filter.
To sort the evaluation, click on a column title.
To display the parts information for a part, click on the Part ID in the respective line: Part View tab.

In the header, the Packaging Information view is selected.

To sort the evaluation, click on a column title.
To display the part information for a part, click on the Part ID or on in the respective row: Part View tab.
