Configure instructions for a machine task template

Prerequisite

Administrator role

Procedure

1. Open the Maintenance > Machine task templates menu.
2. Select a task template.
3. In the detailed view, call up the Instructions tab.

   

4. To add a header:

   Insert a header to structure the work steps.

   • Select .
   • Select Add Header from the drop-down list.
5. To add a description field:

   Insert a description field so that the user can enter work performed in a text field.

   • Select .
   • Select Add Description Field from the drop-down list.
6. To add an instruction field:

   Insert an instruction field so that the user can confirm work performed with a checkbox.

   • Select .
   • Select Add Instruction Field from the drop-down list.
   • Expand the instruction field with .
   • Enter the description of the work step in the field.

     The description is displayed next to the checkbox.

7. To move the heading of a description field or an instruction field, click and hold the mouse button over the field for two seconds, then move it.
8. To change the text of a header, description field or instruction field:
   • Select .
   • Enter a name and description.
   • Save the name or description with .
9. Set the description field or instruction field as a mandatory field.
   • Select the instruction field or description field.
   • Activate the Mandatory field slider.
10. Confirm changes to the task template with Save.

    Files cannot be added until the task template has been saved.

11. Add files to a description field or instruction field:
    • Select the instruction field or description field.
    • Open the instruction field or description field with .
    • Call up the Files tab in the description.
    • Use Add attachment to upload a file.

      Or:

    • Drag and drop the file into the field.

      Images are displayed in the Gallery tab.

12. Release the task template with Release.

The task template is configured and released. The task template can be selected as a template when creating a preventive task.

• To edit the details of the task template, continue with Configure details of a machine task template.
• To create a schedule for the task template, continue with Create or configure a schedule for a machine task template.
• To create a preventive task with the task template, continue with Create preventive task.
