Copy variant

Prerequisites

• Production area, product family, product and variant(s) have been created. Product tab
• Dataset structure has been created.
• Dataset has been added to the variant.
• Line has been added to the variant.

Procedure

1. Click in the Production Area & Product Family search box in the Editor tab.
2. In the Production Area drop-down list, select a production area by activating the checkbox and click .
3. In the Product Family drop-down list, select a product family by activating the checkbox.
4. Select one or more variants in the list by activating the checkbox.
5. Click in the header.
6. Click Copy in the options menu.
7. Enter information in the Copy dialog window:

   

   • In the Product Family drop-down list, select the product family to which the copied variant is to be added.
   • Enter the name of the target variant in the line of the variant.

     The name of the variant must be unique within a product.

   • Select the status from the Target Status drop-down list in the line of the variant.
8. Click Copy.

The variant is copied, including datasets and/or lines.
