General descriptions of terms in the AGV Control Center module.
Floors, maps and areas of application are central elements that are created and managed.
Floors and maps
Floors represent an area of a plant in which vehicles can travel. A plant can be represented by several floors.
Each floor must be assigned at least one map. The map is used for better visualization and localization. The following two map types are supported:
In addition to the image, information is also stored on how the vehicle-specific coordinates can be converted into global WGS64 coordinates.
At least one vehicle map is required for a vehicle to be configured for a floor. The building maps are optional.
Floors and maps are configured and managed in the AGV CC > Floors menu item: Floors.
Areas of Application
Areas of application represent route networks. For example, a plant can have several route networks that do not affect one another: Forklift in the front zone and AMR in assembly. This can be mapped using two individual areas of application that are assigned to a floor.
Currently, only one area of application per floor is supported. Exceptions are milk-run-specific areas of application.
Waypoints, segments and zones are created and managed on the map for an area of application: Map editor. All created elements and the current status of the waypoints, segments and vehicles can be seen on the Live Map.
