Desktop Clients

A desktop client is an application that is installed on a PC and accessed via a menu or a desktop icon.

Install Desktop Clients

The Material InfoPanel and Mat Climate Control desktop clients are installed and configured via the MES Installer.

Note

When installed with the MES Installer, obsolete Install.bat files may be saved along with current files. This causes errors during installation. Therefore, during installation, pay attention to the following:

• Do not interrupt the automatic installation routine.
• Do not run the Install.bat files.

Uninstallation
The desktop client cannot be uninstalled using the MES Installer.

ClickOnce clients

ClickOnce clients can be configured and published using the MES Installer.

Open or end desktop client

Open desktop client

1. Start the desktop client by double-clicking on the icon.

   Or:

   Find and open the desktop client using the Windows search feature.

2. Enter the user name and password in the Password Required dialog window.

   The Domain input field remains empty.

3. Press OK to open the desktop client.

The desktop client start screen opens.

• To work with the Material InfoPanel desktop client, continue with Material InfoPanel Desktop Client.
• To work with the Mat Climate Control desktop client, continue with Mat Climate Control Desktop Client.

Exit Desktop Client

1. Open the Quit menu item in the desktop client menu.
2. Exit the desktop client with OK.

The desktop client window closes.
