Create multiple tools or components at once

Multiple tools or components can be created at once with the same type. The names of the tools or components are created using the defined naming scheme in the type. If no naming scheme is configured, the tools or components created are numbered consecutively.

Configuring Type

To create multiple tools with different types, continue with Creating a Tool or Component or Importing Tools or Components.

Prerequisite

• Tool Management Expert or Tool Management Admin role
• A type has been created and configured.

Procedure

1. Call up the Tool management > Tool control > Tools & components tab.
2. Create tools or components with .
3. Call up the Batch tab in the Create tools/components window.

   .

4. To select a Type, enter the type name in full or in part and select the type from the drop-down list.

   If a tool type is selected, the Facilities field also appears. The Facilities field can be used to assign the tool to a facility. If a facility is selected, the created tool can only be set up in devices of this facility. The facility can be changed in the Tool Management > Tool Management > Tools & Components — General tab

5. Select Area.
6. Enter the Number of tools or components to be created.
7. Enter Comment.
8. Create tools or components with Create.

The tools or components are displayed on the tabs Tool information > Tools & components and Tool control > Tools & components.

Create a link for a tool, component, tool type or component type

Links can be created for tools, components, tool types or component types. Links of a type are taken from the tool or component.

Prerequisite

Tool Management Expert or Tool Management Admin role

Procedure

1. Call up the Tool management > Tool control > Tools & components tab.

   Or:

   Call up the Tool management > Type tab.

2. Select tool, tool type, component or component type.
3. In the detailed view, call up the Links tab.

   

4. Enter the address.
5. Enter the name of the link in the Link Name field.
6. Create the link with Add.

The link is displayed in the tool, component, tool type or component type.
