Link a product or material to an action

Actions can be linked to products, their components and their materials in Type/material actions.

Requirements

• At least one product with at least one product parts list has been created.
  Product parts lists
• Expert or Administrator role

Procedure

1. Open the Type/material actions (assignments) menu.
   Type/Material actions
2. Select an action to be linked from the drop-down list in the Actions area.

   A list of the details and values of the action appears on the right-hand side. All products linked to the action appear in the Types area. All components and materials that are linked to the action appear in the Materials area.

3. If a product is to be linked to the selected action, select the product in the Types area.

   The products are displayed with the type/item number.

   • Use next to the drop-down list to add the selected product to the list of linked products.
4. If you want to connect a component or material to the selected action, select a component or material in the Materials area.

   The component or material must have been created in a product parts list.

   • Use next to the drop-down list to add the selected component or material to the list of linked components and materials.
5. Click to save the changes in the Type/material actions (assignments) view.

   Before the changes are saved in the Type/material actions (assignments) view, you can undo the operations with .

The product is linked to the action if it is displayed in the list of linked products in the Types area.
The component or material is linked to the action when it appears in the list of connected components and materials in the Materials area.
